Julie started her career in corporate communications and government relations. After a decade working in mining and local government, she was lured to a career in law.

Her legal journey commenced with an in-house counsel role for workplace advisory and contracting group Raykon, where she advised employers on workplace, industrial relations, and commercial issues.

In 2012, Julie joined Capital Legal Pty Ltd as a solicitor and director building the workplace relations and commercial litigation practice and growing the business.

In 2023, Julie established Resolve Legal Solutions, a firm dedicated to providing accessible, in-house style legal advice to employers across various industries, providing commercial and employment law advice. 

Julie is a nationally accredited mediator (NMAS) registered with the Law Society of WA and 

a committee member of the Law Society of WA's Employee Relations Committee.

Julie also sits on the Board of Bridging the Gap, a not for profit organisation.

Julie's approach is grounded in empathy, pragmatism and a commitment to helping clients achieve outcomes that support long-term success.

She has acted in significant Federal Court cases such as Fair Work Ombudsman v Pocomwell Ltd (2013) FCA 250 and Fair Work Ombudsman v Quest South Perth Holdings Pty Ltd & Others No. 2 2013 FCA, which addressed critical issues surrounding sham contracting.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, heading to Rottnest Island,  walking her dog and nurturing her love for plants (as you may have guessed from this website).
